Short Shorts

These shorts were from the Simplicity pattern (1165) and it was my first garment that I sewed outside of my costume construction class. It also was my first time creating an elastic casing, a rolled hem, and top stitching. I didn't have my serger yet when I sewed these shorts so I resorted to the zig-zag stitch and the inside finish is a little messier than what I would do now that I have my trusty serger.
