Romper (In Progress)

I'm currently making this romper using the McCall's pattern (M7626). It's my first piece that included darts and an invisible zipper.

After sewing the majority of the project, I found there are a few big modifications I need to make. First, the buckles I used didn't hold the straps in place very well so I added snaps to attach the ends of the straps to the front of the bodice. When worn, the back panel puckers outwards so another modification I want to make is taking in the side seams and/or where the invisible zipper is. I'm also not satisfied with a few pattern elements. Such as the back short pockets are placed on the lower back and the invisible zipper goes extremely low so I'd like to make changes to those as well.
