I absolutely love looking through fat quarter bundles that follow a specific aesthetic or color story. So when I found this light purple cotton bundle at Walmart, I knew I wanted to sew up the patchwork boxy makeup bag I kept seeing online.

 

This was my first time quilting and it was a really enjoyable process. I used 4" x 4" squares and top stitched with a contrasting dark purple thread. What I'd like to do next time is to do the French seam method on the bag's corners so that the lining is tacked to the sides.
